About Kate Cochrane
Kate is a colourist whose work often features landscapes, trees, castle ruins, and seascapes. She focuses on colour, light, and composition, using layers of paint and different media. Her paintings are rich in colour and texture, showing her love for the painting process.
Kate earned a Diploma in Graphic Design from Canterbury College of Art and later took courses in Fine Art and colour work. She has exhibited her paintings since 1980, designed home accessories, and recently started tutoring, giving art demonstrations, and running workshops.
