WORKSHOP
‘Multiple Painting in Mixed Media’
with AMANDA BEE
£40 per person
We will be painting several landscapes at once using watercolour and/or acrylics, oil pastels and water-soluble pencils/crayons.
The day will begin with an overview and a demonstration of the technique. You will use your own drawings or photographs as a starting point.
This technique means you create several pieces at once which allows for spontaneity and freedom of mark making. This way of working then means you can slow down and work back into the images one at a time to complete a more finished piece.
This workshop is not suitable for a complete beginner but otherwise works for anyone with some or lots of experience.
You will need to bring the following materials:
Plastic or paper to cover your table
Paper either watercolour or acrylic paper in
A3 but preferably A2 sizeWatercolours and/or acrylic paints with suitable brushes and palette
Oil pastels and water-soluble pencils - art graf bars, watercolour pencils, graphitint, Inktense, etc.
Your own sketches/paintings or your own photos of a place you love or know quite well.
Amanda will bring acrylics and a selection of watersoluble media plus some oil pastels which you will be welcome to use.
Places are limited, and early booking is advised. Members get priority access to booking until two weeks before the event. After this, any available places will be open for booking, at an increased fee, by non-members.
